IC 447 (IC 2169)

Introduction | Map | My Own Photos | My Own Observations | References

On this page I collect my observations of the reflection nebula IC 447 (with dark nebula IC 2169 at the center) in the constellation Monoceros and its close neighbors IC 446 (= IC 2167), NGC 2245, and NGC 2247.

Introduction

The reflection nebula IC 447 in the constellation Monoceros is not too far away from the Christmas Tree Cluster/Cone Nebula NGC 2264. At its center, there the dark nebula IC 2169 (according to the EN Wikipedia).

In its closer vicinity, there are the reflection nebulae IC 446 (= IC 2167), NGC 2245, and NGC 2247.
